Day 1:
ARRIVE IN BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS Welcome to Beantown! At 6 pm, meet your traveling companions for a welcome drink. Your Tour Director will prepare you for your upcoming adventure.



Day 2:
BOSTON-PORTLAND, MAINE-BAR HARBOR Sea Treasure Head north through New Hampshire and into Maine for Portland, one of New England 's most famous cities. Stroll down the cobblestone streets of Portland 's Old Port Exchange, lined with its many boutiques, coffee houses, and art galleries. Continue to Bar Harbor, on Mount Desert Island, Maine 's oldest summer resort. Enjoy the tastes of Maine for dinner tonight with a traditional [LF] lobster bake. (B,D)

LOCAL TASTES Taste the traditions of the Atlantic seaports with a lobster-bake dinner in historic Bar Harbor, featuring Maine lobster (or chicken, or steak), potatoes, and fresh corn-on-the-cob. Delicious!



Day 3:
BAR HARBOR. EXCURSION TO ACADIA NATIONAL PARK Atlantic Adventures Visit stunning Acadia National Park, including Cadillac Mountain and Jordan Pond. Discover the unique sounds of the waves at Thunder Hole and take in the majestic views from Otter Point. Return to Bar Harbor and visit the Shore Path and Agamont Park. Enjoy free time this evening to explore Bar Harbor. (B)

BAR HARBOR-NORTH CONWAY, NEW HAMPSHIRE Naturally Beautiful New England Back to the mainland and west through Maine for vistas of sparkling lakes and forests. Then, on to New Hampshire and the scenic White Mountains, New England 's greatest range and premier outdoor playground. Later, enjoy the [LF] Raven Interpretive Program with a Local Naturalist. Free time this evening. (B)

WILD & WONDERFUL Travel through New England 's great White Mountains including the unique topography and wildlife on your way to New Hampshire 's Raven Interpretive Program site. Join a Local Naturalist to hear the fascinating stories about the unique environs of northern New England and the wealth of local wildlife here.



Day 5:
NORTH CONWAY-WOODSTOCK, VERMONT-STRATTON Spectacular Sights & Bites Visit an iconic covered bridge and take photos of the classic New England fall colors. Then, enjoy lunch at Franconia State Park, a top New England spot for leaf peeping. Continue on a beautiful drive through Franconia Notch and along the renowned Kancamagus Highway. Hugging the Connecticut River, cross into Vermont and visit Woodstock, its village green reminiscent of 19th-century England. Visit Billings Farm & Museum. Continue to Stratton Mountain Lodge in the Green Mountain National Forest. (B,L,D)

STRATTON-STOCKBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS-STURBRIDGE Classic Americana Journey south to Stockbridge in the Berkshire Mountains for a visit to the Norman Rockwell Studio & Museum, housing a large collection of works by one of America 's most iconic artists. Continue to Sturbridge for an overnight and a memorable [LF] Colonial style dinner at the historic Publick House. (B,D)

LOCAL TASTES Enjoy a traditional Colonial-style dinner, served New England-style with true Yankee hospitality. Dine in an atmosphere that has maintained its 18th-century ambiance, furnished with oversized wingback chairs and couches by the fireplace, and vintage brass beer taps and rum barrels.

Day 7:
STURBRIDGE-MYSTIC SEAPORT, CONNECTICUT-NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND Into the Mystic After a leisurely morning, visit Mystic Seaport Museum, a living testament to life in the 1800s and the traditions of this New England coastal village on the bracing Mystic Seaport. Learn about whaling life and seafarer tales of old with a fascinating look at life on the New England coast. On to Rhode Island, the “Ocean State” for a free evening. (B)

Explore more in Newport! Newport is a charming coastal city with glamorous yachts, a rugged coastline and Gilded Age mansions. Newport was a critical Colonial Era port city and played a significant role in the American Revolution, as it was occupied by the British for three years. Discover life in Newport today with a sunset stroll on the Cliff Walk or enjoy a lobster roll on the waterfront.



Day 8:
NEWPORT Spend your day your way in Newport Today, enjoy a Newport orientation tour and see the first state house, the nation 's oldest synagogue, Ocean Drive, and St. Mary 's Church. Then explore more of Newport with your choice of included Globus Choice excurions.

This evening, your Tour Director hosts a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D).



Day 9:
NEWPORT-BOSTON Boston 's Bold History Depart this morning for Boston. Celebrate America 's 250th anniversary in the birthplace of the American Revolution and take a guided walking tour of the city 's revolutionary highlights. After a transfer to the airport for departing guests, the motorcoach continues downtown to the tour hotel, where the tour ends. Please schedule flights from Boston 's Logan International Airport after 3:30 pm. Want to explore more of Boston on your own? Extra nights are available for purchase. (B)
